This is the main road that runs north to south behind the main beach road in Patong, come along for the ride.
Nearly everyone that has been to Phuket has been in a Tuk Tuk, so the other day I called Thep up, Thep is a Tuk Tuk driver that I have known for a long time; when my son and I go watch Thai boxing at the Patong Bowl I usually give Thep a call to give us a ride into Patong, the traffic can get pretty bad after the fights.
Here is a recent video of Rat-U-Thit Road Patong beach in the back of a Tuk Tuk, if you have never been to Patong beach, this will give you a little insight on whats located on this busy road. As you can see there is a lot of shops, restaurants, and money changing places, as we drive south down Rat-U-Thit road you will see a lot of these places.
So when you are in Phuket take a Tuk Tuk ride they are a lot of fun, most of them have set prices depending upon where you are going on the island; example if you are driving from Kata beach to Patong you will pay about 400 Baht; one way, but during the low season you can sometimes get cheaper.
