A practitioner of Muay Thai ("nak muay") thus has the ability to execute strikes using eight "points of contact," as opposed to "two points" (fists) in Western boxing and "four points" (fists, feet) used in the primarily sport-oriented forms of martial arts.

Some of the best Muay Thai events you can watch is located in Patong Beach, the Patong Bowl is one of the best locations to watch some great Thai boxing matches, you can also go to the Bangla boxing stadium, you can find this stadium on the corner of Rat-u-thit road and Soi Bangla, its right across the street from the famous Jungceylon shopping center.
