Pats Home Thai cooking school was one of the most enjoyable events that I have done in Phuket. You see, Pat’s is not your typical school house cooking class; she actually conducts the school right in her own house, so you really feel at home once you get there.

Pat only allows 8 students per class so you won’t feel overwhelmed during your class session. I enrolled in the 9:30 AM – 1330 class and the session promptly starts at 9:30.

Here is Chef Pat Tiengthong’s background: Pat a native of Bangkok and fluent in English, spent 8 years in California where she worked as a chef. Pat’s Thai cooking classes are globally renowned as the first and the best Thai cooking classes in Phuket.

Pat Home Style cooking school does an excellent job imparting all of her special secrets for creating the most authentic and delicious Thai dishes. You actually experience traditional methods of creating Thai culinary masterpieces in her completely hands-on learning environment from preparation to my favorite part “eating”.

Whether you’re a professional chef or novice cook (like me) Pat teaches from preparing the ingredients through the cooking process.

Here is what each one of us prepared, cooked and of course enjoyed eating afterward during our 4 hour class session.

• Appetizer: Poh Piah Thaad – Spring rolls.
• Main course 1: Kaeng Khaio Wan Kai – Chicken with green curry.
• Main course 2: Pad See Iew-Fried noodle with Chinese broccoli.
• Soup: Tom Yum Goong-Hot & Sour shrimp soup.
• Dessert: Klouy Bood Shee-Banana in coconut milk

These are the dishes we learned how to cook but Pat has many recipes to tailor to whatever Thai dish you desire to learn.

I would like to personally thank Chef Pat and her wonderful staff for such a fabulous Thai cooking experience that I really enjoyed.
