This year's peak and high season were a big success and now, with Phuket Island enjoying a record year by all measures, the Boathouse is prepared for an exceptional summer season.

Writer's Night at the Boathouse Wednesday 12 March

Following in the tradition of the Chao Praya Literary Society, long famous for its lively literary evenings at the Boathouse in the past, Mom Tri's Boathouse will host a "Writer's Night" with Jake Needham 12 March from 7:45pm to 9:00pm. Jake is an atmospheric writer of such bestsellers as The Big Mango, Laundry Man, The Ambassador's Wife and Killing Plato, a story set in Phuket and starting in the Boathouse's own Galley Bar.

Jake will announce the winners of Part I of the Second Mom Tri's Boathouse annual writing contest. Writing workshops for students will be at QSI and BCIS on 11 and 12 March. Part 2 of the contest for students will close 10 April.
