ITALIAN DINING IN PHUKET

The La Gritta restaurant is a fine Italian restaurant located within the Amari Coral Beach Resort which is located on the southern end of Patong Beach.

Our family arrived at the restaurant around 6:30 PM and the hostess promptly greeted us and we were lead down to the lower dining area, you can dine on either level both have fantastic views of Patong Bay.

The best time to dine here is right before sunset, the horizon is very beautiful overlooking the Andaman Sea. Romantic setting! Yes! The La Gritta is of the best places to dine, if you’re looking for that perfect setting, for that special evening.

Our family considers Amari Coral Beach Resort to be one of the best ”Honeymoon” locations in Patong Beach. The resort is away from the normal hustle and bustle of entral Patong and the security is good and you will notice this as soon as you arrive at the entrance gate of the resort.

Good authentic Italian food! the menu has a very wide assortment of Italian cuisines to choose from. I started my meal out with a Cesar salad (highly recommended) very tasty and well prepared. The main course included spaghetti with minced beef and tomato ragout (7104).

My wife settled for the Penne al salmon (7113) which is smoked salmon with zucchini cream and sun dried tomato. My son Roy ordered his favorite pasta (7106) spaghetti alla carbonara with egg, bacon and Parmesan.

They prepare you for this good meal by providing a basket of different style breads to munch on while you are waiting for your main course dinner.

The service is “superb” in every way and we were very happy about the service through our entire meal, your not just another customer here, but a well cared for restaurant patron.

The La Gritta restaurant is not a cheap place to eat, but well worth the price in every way.
