KARON BEACH DINING EXPERIENCE

Karon Beach restaurants offer a magnificent view of pines and palms standing tall over rolling sand dunes providing a unique scene. Our Karon Beach dining experiences included some of the most beautiful sunsets in Phuket.

Karon Beach is located just across a low hill to the north of Kata Beach. They are actually side by side with each other, but Karon is more placid with its long powdery beach. It sits right on the coast of the Andaman Sea and the water is very clean, it is one of the best places to swim, dive and sunbath.

Many of Karon’s restaurants are reasonably priced. If you’re looking for the cheapest and most authentic Thai food you can’t beat the hot-food stalls that serve noodle soup, satay and fried bananas on Thanon Taina road, you will also find numerous bars sprinkled in this same area.

Some of the best Karon Beach dining our family enjoyed is located on Karon road; here is a list of our best Karon restaurants of Phuket. Every new restaurant we eat at is a new experience and we will continue to build on this list as our Karon beach dining adventures increase.

Angus O’Tool’s Restaurant & Irish pub ($$)

Here is the best way to describe our experience in this excellent restaurant. Fun dining! Great prices! Not wallet breaking! Excellent menu selection! Small pub atmosphere! Friendly great staff!

Wildfire Restaurant ($$$$)

This by far is the “Best” of all Karon Beach restaurants. The restaurant has one of the best beach front settings on Karon Beach; the sunsets are fascinating which adds to the already tranquil surroundings.

The Wildfire is a split-level restaurant which is part of the Movenpick Resort & SPA Karon Beach Phuket. If you want the best view come early and dine on the top level.

Our family enjoyed the Brazilian buffet (which is out of this world). They serve an assortment of cuisine’s including some of the best wood oven baked pizza which we consider another “can’t miss” dish.

Cliff Restaurant ($$$)

This restaurant serves a combination Mediterranean-Asian style cuisine. The setting is panoramic and the sunsets over Andaman Sea are superb. Looking for that romantic setting for you and your loved one, this is one of the Karon restaurants that truly provides for an excellent evening.

King Prawn Seafood Restaurant ($$$$)

King Prawn is one of the most stimulating places to eat, none of the other Karon Beach restaurants let you watch live cooking demonstrations like this one. It’s fun to watch how they prepare their cuisine and serve it right to your table. They specialize in Japanese and European cuisines and there is a large assortment to choose from.

Just like most Karon Beach dining places, the atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable.

Old Siam ($$$)

If you want to experience “old Phuket” this is a wonderful Karon Beach dining experience to enjoy. We take pleasure in listening to the traditional Thai music while dining. We also go back on Wednesdays and Sundays to watch the classical Thai dancing (A real treat).

This restaurant specializes in real “authentic” Thai cuisine (Our family favorite!!)

Las Margaritas Grill & Cantina ($$$)

This is one of the best well known Karon Beach restaurants that serve excellent Mexican food. The restaurant setting is very comfortable Spanish style dining room with large decorated trees, along with the soft tropical music background this adds to a very soft and relaxing touch to your dining experience.
