EXCELLENCE IN GERMAN CUISINE

Grillhutte restaurant is an excellent German food eatery located on the north east side of Patong Beach Phuket on Thaweewong road, there are a number of other restaurants inside this little area, just follow the sign on Beach road and it’s the first restaurant on the right.

We love to explore German food and there are a number of German restaurants in Phuket, we decided on the Grillhutte since it’s been around the longest.

When you enter the Grillhutte restaurant you feel like your back in one of those old German pubs, the setting is very nice with an open air setting and comfortable tables to dine on. It’s fun to walk around the restaurant and look at all the odds and ends on the walls; I found the collection of German beer mugs made for an excellent setting for this place.

Once we were seated we were presented with an “easy to follow” menu, I wanted to good authentic German food; pea soup with sausages, grilled pork sausage with pan fried potatoes’ and sauerkraut, Gosh! Those pan-fried potatoes are the best! Combine this with your sausage and a little German mustard makes for an excellent meal.

My wife went with the “Austrian Style” hamburger with potato salad; superb in every way.

Roy our son, “he’s a pasta lover” ordered the spaghetti carbonara “excellent” taste and texture.

The service is very good and the waiter tends to you throughout your meal, without trying to chase you out.
