Great new sports bar in Kata has personality

Standing Room Only for Super Bowl

Although a Tuk-Tuk driver or hotel reception desk might not have heard, Duke's at Kata is a new sports bar owned by Americans, Karen & Mark Ellison. Duke's Sport Bar is a refreshing change from the typical 'girlie' bars with a TV. Their little 20 seat bar boasts 5 big screen televisions and coverage from cable & satellite. The bar is literally clean fun and offers a great opportunity to meet folks from around the world while enjoying the game and drinking a beer.

If you get hungry, Duke's bar staff simply coordinates food delivery from one of several surrounding restaurants.

Super Bowl fans were able to enjoy the game although kick-off was at 6:25 AM. Some 35 fans enjoyed themselves watching the New Orleans Saints march into the Colts. Kudos to the owners for knowing what a sports fan wants.

Hang Out @ Duke's in Kata

What a comfortable little bar with a big heart. They do it right at Duke's and the drinks are mixed to delight. It's clean, comfortable, and just a fun place to hang out. Catch all the sports action but enjoy the company and conversation even if you're not into sports.

Duke's in located on Tai-Na Road

Duke's Sports Bar @ Kata is only 5 minute walk from the beach and it's on Tai-Na Road right next door to Rico's Pizzeria and Steakhouse. They even have convenient off-street parking. Just turn on the gravel road in front of the bar and head out back to the parking 'field.'
