Chef Rolf Nilsson SummaryChef Rolf knows his bread; he started baking bread when he was only 5 years old in his mother’s kitchen. One of his favorite games was trying to copy his mothers recipes, so mixing and baking had started to become a passion. Trying to forge his own bread recipes, he has experimented with over a hundred different bread recipes most from Sweden and many from France. He began his early career in the culinary industry in his restaurant in Sweden, here he made lots of different types of bread, and after working in Sweden for several years he came to Phuket to join the Tri-Asia and Grove Gardens team. Grove Gardens is located in the prestigious Cape Yamu on Phuket’s east coast; it is one of Phuket’s most exclusive residential estates on the island. After baking some of the finest breads and European pastries at the Garden Grove where many guests asked if they could by some of his delicious breads to eat during their stay at the Garden Groves, the idea of the Bread and Butter started to emerge. In July 2007 Bread and Butter begin setting up its own baking operations in a central location that could be easily reachable from Laguna Phuket, Cherng Talay,Thalang,Pak Lok, Cheurn Chu, Boat lagoon and many other island locations. Bread and Butter Phuket is now open for business with a bakery, deli, café and delicatessen serving some of the finest European breads and pastries on the island.
