The Boathouse Wine and Grill directly on Kata Beach, with its beach front terrace and stylish interior is the perfect spot to celebrate that special occasion with a superb lunch or dinner. Join us during Happy Hour from 17.00 - 19.00 and enjoy a spectacular sunset view while sipping a tropical cocktail. French trained Executive Chef Tummanoon has created a menu that combines traditional Boathouse favourites with daily suggestions and promises Mediterranean and Thai Gourmet dining at its best.

Chef/Owner Bio:

Famous Thai architect and artist M.L. Tri Devakul created Mom Tri’s Boathouse in 1989 after the Club Med Phuket in 1985, the Phuket Yacht Club in 1986, Le Méridien Phuket in 1987, the Baan Boran in Chiang Rai in 1988, Mom Tri’s Villa Royale, Kata Noi in 2003 and Trisara Phuket 2004.

Mom Tri designed the Boathouse with its location foremost in mind; you’ll find no marble but wood, bamboo and terracotta tiles. The interior is stylish but not pretentious, cozy, comfortable and there is a great view of the sea and tropical vegetation from every place. Kata is often described as one of the nicest beaches of Phuket; it is not as busy as some and its curved bay and round-shaped Koh Poo Island a few miles in front of the beach add to its beauty. The Boathouse beach area is privately serviced and beach chairs and sun umbrellas are reserved exclusively for Boathouse Guests.

Mom Tri’s Boathouse Wine & Grill was one of the first Gourmet Restaurants in Phuket and remains the popular choice for discerning gourmets for its outstanding Thai, fresh seafood and Mediterranean menu and service.

The Boathouse’s exceptional wine cellar won the first Wine Spectator Magazine Award of Excellence in Thailand in 1995 which award was maintained for the following ten years. The Boathouse set new standards again in 2006 by being the sole establishment in Thailand distinguished with the coveted Best of Award of Excellence which feat was repeated in 2007.

A stock of about 6,000 bottles with over 700 different wine labels from all over the world to choose from, ensure a memorable dining experience.
