Here is a video I took from the southern end of Patong Beach Phuket, as you can see I shot this video during low tide, I am right on the bridge that leads up to the Amari Coral Beach resort. My goal is to get video of the beach from different locations that way I can get you the true beauty of this beach.
Patong Beach is probably one of the busiest beaches in Phuket and during high season the beach is packed with sun bathing tourists, but during the low season Patong Beach is not that bad to enjoy.
One of my favorite run and swim routes is on Patong Beach, as a retired Navy SEAL, I just love the water and Patong Beach is one of them. If you are looking for some good distance swims, one of my favorites is swim from the South end of the beach to the North end and then run the beach South to where I started. The best time for this swim and run is early in the morning before the Jet ski boats and other water traffic starts getting active and of course check the tide tables for high tide, during monsoon season it can get a little tricky on the currents so be careful, I do these swims with surface fins.
Patong Beach truly is a nice beach and if you get a chance just take a stroll during the evening and you will see some of the most beautiful sunsets, take your camera and video these are a sight to be seen. Well, this is just one of Phuket’s beautiful beaches and I love every one of them and I will continue to add to my Phuket video collection. Phuket is a wonderful place and I love everything about it.
