Beautiful Kata Beach Phuket Thailand

Kata Beach Phuket is my favorite beach for before and after dining swims, this is the primary reason I bought my condo at the Aspasia Phuket back in 2003, the Aspasia overlooks Kata beach and it takes me less than 5 minutes walk from my condo front door, to the North end of the beach.

The video I took was taken around center beach, or right in front of the Club Med beach access, during the day this area of the beach is the busiest, lot's of Club Med folks enjoying the beach.

The Island you see in the video is located on the northern end of Kata beach, they call this island (PU island), one of my favorite morning swims before breakfast is swim to this island, after years as a Navy SEAL the love for the water never leaves you.

One of the best pre-dining swims is swim from the Northern end of Kata beach to the southern end or just exit in front of Mom Tri Boathouse and then run enjoy a nice jog back to the north end of the beach. I recommend using fins for any distance swims around Kata beach, sometimes you can encounter some pretty rough rip currents, one area to be aware of is just south of Club Med, the rip currents can get pretty strong, just look for the orange markers on the beach that mark, this rough part.

If you love the ocean as much as I do, you will truly enjoy beauty of being in the ocean. Before breakfast swim, enjoy... after dinner swim enjoy...
