BANG TAO BEACH DINING EXPERIENCE

Bang Tao restaurants offer an excellent setting for any special occasion. We were fascinated by the lagoons and beaches Bang Tao has to offer. If you're looking for that perfect "honeymoon" setting Bang Tao dining is an excellent choice.

Much of Bang Tao beach is located in Laguna Phuket. The beach itself is a long stretch of white sand with lagoons which makes it unique compared to the other locations on Phuket. Along the beach you can find some pretty good inexpensive seafood, noodles and other good Thai food.

Here is our list of best Bang Tao dining locations. All of them are located within the three major resorts; Sheraton Grande Laguna Phuket, Banyan Tree Phuket and the Dusit Laguna Phuket. All of them serve superb cuisines, the prices are steep, but an excellent dining experience during your stay in Phuket Thailand.

Chao Lay restaurant ($$$)

This Bang Tao dining spot is one of the best when it comes to local Phuket cuisines. The restaurant is very comfortable with a nice Thai architectural setting, along with the traditional Thai music and magnificent view of the lagoon makes it one of our "honeymoon" recommendation locations. The yellow Thai curry prawns with cucumber and deep fried white prawns with chili lemon sauce is a good choice.

Teahouse ($$$)

One of the only Bang Tao restaurants that serve authentic Cantonese and Szchuan cuisines, the food is prepared by a top Chinese chef and "wow" is he good. This beautiful restaurant looks like an old teahouse. Our family loved this Bang Tao dining location and considers it to be one of the best in Phuket Thailand.

We're big fans of the Peking duck and it doesn't get any better than this. This is one of the only Bang Tao restaurants that serve excellent Cantonese cuisines.

Saffron ($$$$)

The Saffron restaurant features some very good Thai cuisines and is defiantly worth a stop during your holiday in Phuket. The restaurant has a very contemporary Thai setting which is very fitting for this five star restaurant.

We enjoyed the stir-fried chicken with roast cashew nuts and Chiang Mai curry with chicken with crispy yellow noodles.

La Trattoria ($$$)

One of the better Bang Tao restaurants in Phuket that serve excellent Italian cuisines, our family enjoyed this contemporary and stylish restaurant. The food is very authentic especially the homemade Italian pizzas.

Our family being Italian food lovers enjoyed the ravioli stuffed with lobster and the fired back fresh pizza.

Ruen Thai ($$$)

Our family concluded that this is one of the more "romantic" Bang Tao dining locations, it sits right by the lagoon and the Thai style architecture make it all worthwhile. If you're looking for that special night out, give this place a go.

Try the deep-fried soft shell crabs with pepper, garlic in oyster sauce. We also had the steamed white snapper with vegetables.
