ONE OF THE BEST IN PHUKET

The Baan Rim Pa restaurant is one of the top dining locations in Patong Beach, its located North of Patong on Coast road right near the Novotel resort.

My son Roy and I decided we wanted to experience (again) this well known restaurant and see if it lives’ up to its reputation as one of the best.

We arrived around 6:30 PM and we were greeted by the friendly staff and promptly lead to our table, we picked a table with a good view of Patong Bay, “What a view!” I would have to say that you cannot find a better place to dine with gorgeous oceans views like this. They had to roll the heavy duty plastic covers down later due to the incoming rain, but that did not have any effect on our view.

We consider this restaurant to be in one of the best locations in Patong Beach, overlooking the beautiful bay; since it’s an open air restaurant you get a constant flow of soothing ocean air throughout your dining experience.

If you want an elegant, romantic dining experience this is the place to go, you won’t be disappointed; you’re going to pay “top dollar” to dine here but its well worth the dining experience.

We were presented with three menus (Main course, Cellar wine list, Drink list), a little bit overwhelming for Roy and I, but you have a good selection to choose from.

The food is good and cooked to perfection and I mean “perfection” and well presented on quality dinner ware.

We started our meal with an appetizer (Spring rolls) with sweet and sour sauce. Roy ordered the Priaw Waan Mod which is fried pork in sweet and sour sauce with a cup of good Jasmine rice. I went with the Guay Tiaw Paad which is stir-fried noodles in soy sauce with beef.

Overall…this restaurant lived up to its reputation and we consider it one of the best Phuket dining experiences.
