Baan Ra Tree Restaurant at Nai Yang Beach,Phuket.

We just get home from our stay at nai yang beach, and we are already missing the young family-run Baan Ra Tree restaurant. We went there based on the comment on tripadvisor and ended up coming multiple times during our 2 weeks-stay.
The Baan Ra Tree is totally different compare to the other restaurants of the nai yang beach.
The decorating and design are more refined, with a wood ceiling, frames on the walls, ambient lights and music, and real napkins (and not just paper tissues, which is rare).
There is a good choice of food, both thai and “western”, from starts to desserts, from seafood to curry or fried rice. Even if your desired food is not on the menu, there is a good chance they will do everything they can to serve you what you want if you ask them. The food itself is very tasteful, and is not at all more expensive than other restaurants (a few less Baths there, a few more Baths on that…).
There is also large choice of drinks. The usual ones (Coke, water, Ginger ale, beers) to homemade excellent cocktails, both alcoholic or not.
As for the staffs … they are just perfect. They are welcoming, always smiling, speaking a very good English for thais, always watching your every need, and they will do almost anything to assure you a pleasant diner. They even learned a few word of our language to welcome us when we came back.
It may seem to be a small detail, but what amazed me on our first visit was the fact that they never “called us” to come in when we were passing in front of their restaurant, unlike many many many (if not all …) restaurants in Phuket/nai yang, which like to yell “come in my frieeeeeeeeeeeend” at you … and it utterly exasperates me (seems to have became a new tradition in Phuket …).
Baan Ra Tree is just a must-go-once place. You will not regret it, and you will most probably return.
